Pharrell Williams and adidas are giving the Adistar Jellyfish a darker makeover, with the eccentric silhouette set to return in a bold 'Dark Brown/Frozen Green' colorway this September.
Design Details:
First spotted on the feet of rapper Chief Keef, the upcoming release takes the Jellyfish somewhere noticeably moodier than some of its previous iterations. A deep brown base sets the tone across the upper, while cream and white elements add contrast before vibrant Frozen Green accents bring the heat. Black Three Stripes branding completes the look, creating a color palette that feels part earthy trail runner, part futuristic fashion experiment.
Of course, subtlety has never really been the Jellyfish’s thing. Inspired by the adidas Adistar Cushion 3, Pharrell’s reworked silhouette is defined by its oversized proportions and unmistakable, wave-like tooling. The chunky midsole extends beyond the upper with sculpted sections designed to mimic the floating forms of a jellyfish, giving the sneaker its suitably aquatic nickname.
After making its debut through highly limited releases, the Adistar Jellyfish has gradually become easier to get as adidas expands the lineup with new colorways. The 'Dark Brown/Frozen Green' continues that momentum, adding another distinctive option to Pharrell’s increasingly experimental adidas catalogue.
