Air Jordan 4 Retro ‘Bred’ Is Back in 2026 With OG Tooling

From landing on the feet of Michael Jordan during the notorious ‘89 shot against the Cleveland Cavaliers to surpassing 30 years of sneaker fandom, there is nothing quite like the Air Jordan 4 ‘Bred’.

Introduction:

After what has seemed longer than a two-year interlude after the Air Jordan 4 Reimagined ‘Bred’ made waves across the sneaker world, Nike has put its grovelling boots back on to flesh out its sixth lauded release. This time (to our delight), the Air Jordan 4 Retro 'Bred' is repping its OG ‘89 tooling.

Design Details:

According to sneaker leakers Zsneakerheadz, each pair will carry a slice of nostalgia. Yes, we’re talking about the premium nubuck (Durabuck) uppers making a comeback, pairing its muse with the legendary ‘Nike Air’ inscribed heel tab - Nike certainly knew what they were doing with this one. Of course, the Air encapsulated forefoot and visible Air heel will remain a blueprint of this seminal design.

While the 2019 came close to replicating the early court fit, this version will rock an evidently sleeker and less angled toe box, bringing collectors back to prime-time Jordan excellence. For speculation's sake, we’d also like to see some additional modern elements, such as the softer polyurethane midsoles used on the Reimagined version, lending wearers that extra in-step cushioning on and off the courts.

A release date is still under wraps, but expect this gem to hit our shelves in Winter 2026, retailing for around $220/ £210 / €250. Keep your eyes peeled in the coming months for confirmed details and updates around this drop; it’s already cracking up to be a moment-defining release for 2026.
